Ayurveda is a re-formulated and revived system of medicine that finds itself among the new reformers. As such it has livened, amplified, and is one of the most prominent and comprehensive methods of treatment, self-care, and lifestyle management. Ayurveda begins with the basic concept of how to live out your daily life. This conscious effort of managing your daily life creates a “positive psychology” and is thus an effort towards a more spiritual livelihood.

Ayurveda exonerates life as a prime source for salvation in this world and thus instills you with the idea that a positive karma (actions) in this life leads to sukhayu (blissfulness) and hitaayu (wellness). At this program you will learn to look at Ayurveda as a holistic approach towards health, blissfulness, and philosophy. Come be a part of such an experience exclusively at Nepal Ayurveda Home.

Training curriculum of Ayurveda training course

Nepal Ayurveda Home is a place for complete Ayurvedic medicine and lifestyle care. Be a part of this Ayurvedic family in a place which you can call your second home.

1. Prakriti and Vikriti

Ayurveda revolves around the concept of duality. The prime duality in the whole of the Ayurvedic text is that of Prakriti and Vikriti. The concept of nature and nurture was prevalent in the system of Ayurveda since its conception. Ayurveda believes in the state of perfect health (Prakriti) that is approachable to all and achievable to some (those that practice tenets of Ayurveda as a mantra). At Nepal Ayurveda Home, you will learn to distinguish between what a Prakriti is and what a Vikriti is, and the various methods you can employ to get yourself into that state of perfect health.

2. Panchakarma

The Ayurvedic practice of panchakarma is in a sense a unique practice that employs various aspects of Ayurveda in a single packaged form, which serves as a preventative and therapeutic approach. As such Ayurveda advise a panchakarma detox according to seasons. Leaky Gut Syndrome has been linked to various auto-immune diseases and there is mounting evidence that the Ayurvedic procedure of panchakarma is beneficial in these auto-immune diseases. A panchakarma training entails you learning about pre-detox (increasing your metabolism), detox (the five procedure to detox – panchakarma), and post-detox (khichari according to body type and season). These are some intense procedures and you can master them exclusively at Nepal Ayurveda Home.

3. Ayurvedic massage (Abhyanga)

Ayurveda has the concept of marma which is frequently applied in the process of giving an Ayurvedic massage (abhyanga). These marmas are the energy centers of the body (like Chinese meridians) and you get to learn about marmas and Ayurvedic massage that revolves around them exclusively in this training.

Besides, there are various other Ayurveda massage techniques called as pinda (bolus massage)—namely Patra pinda (leaf bolus), Baluka pinda (sand bolus), Shastik Shali (rice bolus), and Salvana pinda (salt bolus). They each have their own therapeutic effects and need to be employed carefully.

4. Ayurveda cooking and Ayurveda lifestyle

Ayurveda is centered in the concepts of tri-dosha (Vata, Pitta, and Kapha). A person can have different proportions of dosha and thus lifestyle can be directed depending on these basics tenets. These tenets build up towards the guide of “Dincharya – daily lifestyle” and “Ayurveda lifestyle”. These then direct towards living a fruitful healthy life. Learn these concepts at Nepal Ayurveda Home and a guide to you towards building your own personal lifestyle.

5. Ayurvedic herbs

The worldview on Ayurveda treatment relies on the singular herbs will have multi-modal effects on the body. An herb when combined with other herbs the effects on the body will thus be multi-modal. A medicine depending on how you use it will cause the medicine to have different therapeutic purposes. For example, Triphala can be used as a face wash, as a mouth wash and even as a gut-biome enhancer. Learn about these concepts wholly at Nepal Ayurveda Home.

6. Chakra healing

The Ayurvedic chakra healing revolves around the use of essential oil and vasti. The Ayurvedic oil “Mahanarayana tail” is a mixture of over fifty herbs and these herbs act to nurture you and your chakra back to health and balance. Chakra healing is the usage of this oil in various chakra location and using singing bowls in various notes to activate the respective site (there are Vedic singing bowl notes). Get your chakra energized, empowered and electrified at this program at Nepal Ayurveda Home.

7. Spinal care and the Ayurvedic approach course

Combinations of marma massages with bolus massages, vasti (oil pool), and steam application is very beneficial for localized spinal problems. Good back health is important for numerous reasons—just to give you an example, a good back posture (commonly referred to as high power poses) has been shown to lower stress hormones like cortisol and increase beneficial hormones like testosterone. The spine is also considered as one of the chief organs of health in Ayurveda. The spine is considered as a chief site of energy flow (Shushumna) and a healthy spine leads to good health.

8. Ayurveda beauty training course

  • Roopam, gunam, vayastyag, iti shubhanga karanam

Beauty in Ayurveda is considered in three terms: Roopa – external beauty, guna – internal beauty and Vaysatyag – non-chronological beauty (looking younger). Nepal Ayurveda Home provides training on face packs, face masks, anti-acne packs, and whole body packs (ubatana) influencing these three standards of beauty. Ayurveda thus covers whole spectra of the Panchakosha Sharira (the physical body, the energetic body, the mental body, the emotional/psychic body, and the spiritual body).

At Nepal Ayurveda Home you not only get the ways around Ayurvedic retreat and herbalism but it is also a place where you can receive the most care, lovingness, and attention to details. Their doctors, staffs, and cooks ensure that what you receive is a class apart and is of the highest standards.
