Facilities
Nepal Ayurveda Home offers deluxe room, private room, and shared room, which you can choose according to your interest. All rooms have an attached bathroom and air-conditioning. They have two nice and big yoga halls with air-conditioning where yoga and meditation classes take place.
Ayurveda in tradition was taught by a guru who used to take under his decisive knowledge the students who were eager, willing and wanting. The guru would then endow to the students the knowledge of the generation. This is known as “Shruti” the knowledge that passes through the tradition of semantics and syntax of the language.
Nepal Ayurveda Home tries to uphold these very traditions with modification towards a more scientific approach. This guarantees the knowledge that you acquire, technically speaking, be across generations (more so than Ayurveda students in the past).
Ayurveda as a system of traditional healing requires a careful observation of minute changes happening in the body of the receiver. As such no singular treatment for a single person exists. In fact, similar diseases in different persons are treated differently. Ayurveda gurus in recent time thus like to tout that Ayurveda is an “individualized approach”—and they wouldn’t be wrong. But as always approaches can be learned and applied as well. And in making such a claim, there is no better place to learn about Ayurveda than at the birthplace of Ayurveda—the Himalayas.

Curriculum of Ayurveda Training
Nepal Ayurveda Home is a place for complete Ayurvedic medicine and lifestyle care. Be a part of this Ayurvedic family in a place which you can call your second home.
Prakriti and Vikriti
Prakriti and Vikriti are the aspects of health and disease as Ayurveda understands it. As such it not only forms the basis of every Ayurvedic diagnosis but also forms the basis of individual health. This individual health—which incorporates physical, mental and spiritual health—is then guided by a comprehensive guide towards achieving that. Find out the tenets of determining Prakriti and Vikriti at this three-week Ayurveda training in Kathmandu at Nepal Yoga Home.
Panchakarma
Panchakarma forms the basis for almost every Ayurveda therapeutic protocol. However, Panchakarma can also lead to a state of hale and maintenance of health, as such yoga and Ayurveda both recommend that such detoxes should be undergone at a regular interval and at regular seasons. Panchakarma includes five procedures which are to be done stepwise (pre-detox, detox, and post-detox). The pre-detox causes the metabolism to go into overdrive (thus making you lose weight) which is then suppressed by detox and finally heightened by post-detox (food). The detox food should be cooked in special ways depending upon seasons and these seasonal Khichari are like “condiments” (that help with extra detoxes) you superimpose on the detoxes. Learn each and every subtle aspect of panchakarma and how to apply them either in your own practice or in your therapeutic practice exclusively at Nepal Ayurveda Home.
Ayurvedic massage (abhyanga)
There are a hundred and seven energy centers in the human body. These energy points are known as marmas. Ayurveda employs this unique modality of marma based energy therapy for not only treatment of various diseases but also for early diagnosis of diseases. Thus marma forms the core concept behind every stroke or every hack you get in Ayurveda. When marma is touched and caressed by energized hands (that of a therapist) the marma become energized and this fuels the body towards bodily enlightenment.
Besides, there are various other Ayurveda that also employ the massage techniques known as pinda (bolus massage)—namely Patra pinda (leaf bolus), Baluka pinda (sand bolus), Shastik Shali (rice bolus), and Salvana pinda (salt bolus). They each have their own therapeutic effects and are needed to be given in a measured and rational approach.
Ayurveda cooking and Ayurveda lifestyle
As aforementioned, Prakriti—the proportions of Dosha in the body—serves as guidance for cooking and the Ayurvedic lifestyle. It is a guide that should drive how you eat, what yoga asanas you should do, what type of meditation is good for you and what pranayama is good for you. Ayurveda thus becomes a comprehensive guideline towards setting up your daily individualized practice of lifestyle and cooking. These time tested formulas and Nepal Ayurveda Home promotes these aspects of Ayurveda (in combination with yoga) as it was meant to be (like Patanjali described).
Ayurvedic herbs
There is a famous Indian saying “Do not worry so long as you have Triphala.” This saying is deep in the sense that it promulgates the idea behind Ayurvedic herbalism. No herb has a singular use in Ayurveda and when these herbs are combined with other herbs, promotes health in various organ systems at once. For example, if you use Triphala it promotes good gut bacteria all the while also working on the acne problem you might be having. At the same time, you might use Triphala to heal your wounds while using it as a supplement for anemia. And this is a basic tenet of Ayurveda, that singular herbs will have a multimodal effect on the body depending on how you use it.
Chakra healing
An enlivened chakra is essential for living life at its full potential. And the answer to an enlivened chakra lies in Ayurveda. Shirodhara and chakra vasti along with sweet singing bowl playing in the background provides life to your chakra. It is healing, nourishing, and vitalizing for your chakra. Positive energy is infused with multi-herbal essential oil and energetic massages at the chakra centers. Get your chakra enlivened, empowered and electrified at Nepal Ayurveda Home.
Spinal care
Have a busted spinal disc? Have a back pain that doesn’t go away? Feeling buggered with constant back, or neck pain? The answer might lie in Ayurveda. Nepal Ayurveda Home provides various therapeutic procedures like “Patra Pinda Sveda”, “Baluka Sveda”, “Nasya”, and “Kati and Greeva vasti” that will build the lubrication between the joints of your back, provides relief to stiffness and pain caused by this. Why relieve your pain by using painkillers when you can do this naturally and avoid the unwanted side effects of those pain meds.
Ayurveda beauty training
Ayurveda has garnered significant evidence in care of skin problems like vitiligo, psoriasis, eczema, and acne vulgaris. Since Ayurveda is primarily an herbal approach, it provides a natural cure for these hard to treat skin disorders without the pesky side effects of steroids (that are frequently prescribed for above-mentioned diseases). Ayurveda skin care involves enhancing the natural beauty of skin, herbs for hair growth and care, skin care in teenagers (with acne), and natural shampoos (Campana—a Sanskrit word—is what the word shampoo is derived from). These enhance the three tenets of beauty—Roopa, Guna, and Vayastyag.
Yoga, pranayama, and meditative practices according to your body type
Yoga was introduced as a healer of the soul, body and the mind. However, if a newbie turns a yoga book, they will find pages upon pages of daunting poses and practices. Nepal Ayurveda Home guides you through specific yoga poses that are good for your body type and are manageable to be implemented in your every day to day life, ensuring health and longevity—the ultimate promise of yoga.
